IDR is seeking a Java Developer to join one of our top clients for remote opportunity. This role involves supporting the state's integrated eligibility systems within a dynamic government-related technology environment. The position offers a chance to work on impactful projects that enhance public services and benefits administration.
Position Overview for the Java Developer:
- Support and enhance eligibility determination and benefits administration systems.
- Provide senior-level Java development expertise, including oversight, guidance, and hands-on coding.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain APIs, web services, and enterprise relational databases.
- Bring experience working with Integrated Eligibility Systems or similar platforms.
- Contribute to high-quality deliverables in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
Requirements for the Java Developer:
- 5+ years Java development experience
- Should be a senior level resource that can provide oversight guidance and reviews and can help with hands-on dev if needed
- Hands-on experience with Java/J2EE technologies (examples seen in prior GPS roles: Servlets, JMS, Java web services, etc.)
- Experience developing and consuming APIs (REST and/or SOAP) and working with XML
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with enterprise relational databases (Oracle/DB2/PostgreSQL/SQL Server)
- Hands on experience with Integrated Eligibility Systems/ApplicationsÂ
