IDR is seeking a Senior Database Engineer to join one of our top clients for an on-site opportunity in Austin, Texas. This role involves performing advanced database administration tasks for complex data environments, working with cloud platforms, and migrating data between systems within an Agile environment. The position offers the chance to contribute to critical database performance and security improvements in a fast-paced setting.

Position Overview for the Senior Database Engineer:

• Responsible for advanced database administration tasks, including performance tuning, security, disaster recovery, and high availability.
• Works with full-stack applications on cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and supports data migration and transformation processes.
• Collaborates with teams to create and maintain logical and physical data models, focusing on Oracle and Azure SQL.
• Optimizes database performance and implements monitoring solutions to track health and metrics.
• Converts Oracle Stored Procedures and Functions to Azure SQL, ensuring smooth migration and operational efficiency.

Requirements for the Senior Database Engineer:

• 10+ years of database experience, including Oracle and Microsoft SQL.
• 8+ years of experience with Relational Database Administration (SQL Server or Oracle).
• 8+ years of experience in database design, analysis, and performance tuning.
• 8+ years of experience with software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
• 6+ years of experience with high availability and disaster recovery infrastructure.
