IDR is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to join one of our top clients for an on-site opportunity in Austin, Texas. This role involves gathering and translating complex business and technical requirements related to health and human services data, supports integration of technical data sources, and facilitates the development of reports and data visualizations to assist agency decision-making and strategic initiatives.
Position Overview for the Senior Business Systems Analyst:
Serves as a senior analyst gathering business and technical requirements, data requirements, and business rules.
Translates requirements into test plans, scenarios, and cases for full traceability.
Facilitates integration across departments and sources of technical data.
Empowers staff with querying skills, including AI prompting techniques, for data access and reporting.
Works to bridge the gap between technical data systems and operational users in an emerging AI context.
Requirements for the Senior Business Systems Analyst:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in gathering business requirements and translating data requests into actionable queries.
Minimum of 10 years of experience explaining technical findings and data limitations to non-technical audiences.
Minimum of 10 years in complex data analysis or as a senior business/systems analyst.
Strong experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
Proven collaboration experience with end-users, performance analysts, or internal IT teams to create reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
