IDR is seeking an Embedded Systems Architect to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Dallas, TX. The position involves working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, emphasizing high ownership and end-to-end system architecture.
Position Overview for the Embedded Systems Architect:
Serve as a high-impact technical leader within the engineering team focusing on embedded systems.
Define embedded systems architecture, design system and firmware flows, and recommend hardware responses.
Guide embedded development efforts toward stable, scalable, and production-ready solutions.
Work across hardware, application software, test, and product engineering teams.
Ensure seamless integration of embedded software, hardware, gateways, and communication layers aligning with product requirements.
Requirements for the Embedded Systems Architect:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or related field.
8+ years of experience in embedded software development, embedded systems, or software engineering.
2+ years of experience designing, developing, and integrating embedded firmware and software solutions within complex embedded systems.
2+ years of experience leading software architecture, embedded systems architecture, or platform design.
Strong proficiency in embedded C/C++ and firmware development.
