Night Shift Chemical Manufacturing Operator – Urgently Hiring!

Location: Corvallis, OR

Pay: $21.00/hour (with a 10% differential when moved to Night Shift – $23.10/hour) Schedule: Training Schedule:
  • A-Shift: Thursday–Saturday and every other Wednesday, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (12-hour shifts)

  • B-Shift: Sunday–Tuesday and every other Wednesday, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (12-hour shifts)

Night Shift (after training, likely end of January):

  • C-Shift: Sunday–Wednesday, 7:00 PM – 5:30 AM (4x10 schedule)

Selectemp is seeking a Night Shift Chemical Manufacturing Operator for our client, a reputable technology manufacturing company located in Corvallis, OR. This role supports batch production, material handling, and chemical processing operations in a cleanroom environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience with chemical handling or electro-mechanical processes, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining safety and quality standards. What You’ll Do
  • Bottle, label, and bag gallons of finished goods
  • Decant 1-gallon containers into smaller bottles inside a glovebox
  • Pick and prepare bottles for shipment from various storage locations
  • Clean and maintain chemical manufacturing equipment under engineering guidance
  • Replace gas cylinders and manage chemical waste according to safety protocols
  • Support high-volume manufacturing (HVM) and pilot batch production
  • Maintain general housekeeping in manufacturing and lab areas
  • Perform weekly inventory counts and update records
  • Prepare shipments to the warehouse and receive incoming deliveries
  • Assist engineers and technicians with special tasks and projects
  • Record work progress in the shift pass-down log
  • Follow all documented change-control procedures required in semiconductor manufacturing
What You’ll Bring
  • Willingness to train on day shift and then move to nights
  • High school diploma (or equivalent) and 2 years of relevant experience, or an associate degree in chemistry, engineering, or a related field
  • 2+ years of forklift experience
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organization skills and eagerness to learn
  • A proactive, self-driven attitude toward team and individual goals
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience with high-purity chemical handling is a plus
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
Physical Requirements
  • Lift up to 40 lbs from floor to table height
  • Move full 55-gallon drums using proper equipment (hand truck, pallet jack, drum lifter)
  • Stand for extended periods
  • Use glovebox with thick rubber gloves to handle small items
  • Wear full PPE, including respirators when required
  • Frequent computer use for documentation and inventory tracking
