Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Data Scientist:

• Scraping structured and unstructured data from various sources, including multi-page PDFs

• Building regression models based on scraped data

• Integrating regression models with naval architecture equations to simulate marine systems

• Embedding model outputs in a Plotly Dash web interface

• Supporting broader data science initiatives as needed

• Collaborating with a team of Data Scientists and Engineers

• This role is ongoing with a right to hire after 3 months

Required Skills for Data Scientist:

• Fluent English speaker with excellent communication skills

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Python for Data Science and Data Engineering

• Expertise in PySpark, Scikit-learn, Plotly/Dash, and Data scraping

• Experience with Microsoft Azure and Databricks is a strong plus

• Familiarity with ChatGPT API is a plus
