IDR is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior DBA Consultant to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Sacramento, CA. If you are looking for an opportunity to join a large organization and work within an ever-growing team-oriented culture, please apply today! Responsibilities:

  • Provision Oracle Virtual Databases on AWS EC2 using Delphix virtualization tools

  • Configure and manage Delphix masking engine, including creating and updating masking rules for PII data compliance

  • Support Oracle database administration in AWS Cloud, including patching, backup/recovery, and maintenance activities

  • Administer Oracle Container/Pluggable databases and non-container database environments

  • Configure TDE Wallets and implement tablespace and database encryption for enhanced data security

  • Develop and execute DDL/DML scripts for application releases in non-production environments

  • Manage database users (account lock/unlock, profile updates), and oversee Oracle DB security and access controls

  • Design and maintain PL/SQL scripts, procedures, triggers, and other automation tools for database optimization and support

    AWS RDS & Cloud Responsibilities:

  • Provision and manage Oracle RDS, including parameter and option groups

  • Perform RDS maintenance tasks, minor version upgrades, and OS support via AWS Console

  • Conduct RDS instance lifecycle operations (startup, shutdown, snapshots, restoration)

  • Manage tablespaces, monitor capacity, and ensure performance of RDS-hosted databases

Requirements:

  • Strong experience with Oracle DB, including containerized and non-containerized configurations

  • Hands-on knowledge of Delphix virtualization and masking

  • Proficiency in PL/SQL, including development of functions, procedures, packages, and triggers

  • Experience managing databases on AWS Cloud (EC2, RDS, Aurora)

  • Familiarity with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL Workbench, and Amazon RDS for MySQL

  • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager and standard database monitoring tools

  • Strong understanding of data security, compliance, and PII masking best practices
