IDR is seeking a Communications Specialist for one of our top healthcare clients in Rochester, MN. This is a 1 year contract role with a mix of onsite and remote responsibilities. Responsibilities for the Communications Specialist:

  • Provide strategic communications consultation and guidance to department chairs, operations managers, and Allied Health Supervisors.
  • Plan, implement, monitor, and measure communication strategies to advance organizational mission, strategic plans, and business goals.
  • Manage internal and external communications, including media relations, digital content, and staff engagement.
  • Oversee projects through their entire lifecycle, ensuring effective execution and measurable results.
  • Maintain and modernize internal communications, including newsletters and digital platforms.
  • Proactively seek opportunities for process improvements and act independently to support organizational strategies.
  • Adapt to changes while fostering positive relationships with leaders and stakeholders.

Requirements for the Communications Specialist:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in strategic communications or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in:
  • Media relations and social media management.
  • Digital content creation and communication planning.
  • Writing, editing, and presenting to diverse audiences.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
