Key Responsibilities:

• Handle incoming transportation requests, prioritizing them based on urgency and importance.
• Allocate and dispatch staff to transportation assignments, considering urgency and availability.
• Oversee staff performance, including monitoring breaks and lunch schedules, to ensure sufficient coverage.
• Address and resolve issues, escalating concerns to supervisors when necessary.
• Call in relief staff as needed and support supervisors in enforcing department policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with supervisors on clinical matters related to patient transportation.
• Assist with the training, orientation, and ongoing support of employees to maintain consistent operations.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Prior experience in dispatching, scheduling, or coordination roles (healthcare experience preferred).
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and/or other dispatch software.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and its application in healthcare or transportation settings.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, ensuring smooth coordination of tasks.
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, while adapting to dynamic work environments.
