IDR is seeking a Tax Analyst to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. This role requires someone who sits in Eastern time zone. This role involves supporting sales and property tax compliance processes within a dynamic organization operating in the industry. The position offers the chance to collaborate with internal teams and ensure adherence to tax laws nationwide.
Position Overview for the Tax Analyst:
- Prepare and file sales, use, and property tax returns accurately and on time.
- Review and analyze indirect tax data; identify process improvements and automation opportunities.
- Partner with internal teams and third-party consultants to resolve tax notices and compliance issues.
- Prepare and file state and local property tax reports.
- Maintain and monitor sales tax reporting software and tax accounts.
- Stay current on indirect tax laws and communicate relevant changes.
- Investigate and reconcile tax discrepancies.
- Support internal teams with tax-related requests and ensure overall indirect tax compliance.
Requirements for the Tax Analyst:
- 3-5 years of sales tax compliance experience.
- Strong understanding of state and local sales/use tax concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Experience with SAP, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Teams.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently in a remote environment.
