IDR is seeking a Functional & Automation Tester to join one of our top clients for a REMOTE opportunity in Nashville, Tennessee. This role is ideal for someone experienced in software testing within government or complex application environments, with a focus on automation and manual testing.
Position Overview for the Functional & Automation Tester:
Conduct functional testing for state government projects, ensuring application standards and requirements are met
Develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test scripts using tools like Selenium with AI assistance
Analyze design documentation, user stories, and requirements to create comprehensive test cases
Identify, document, and track defects throughout the testing lifecycle, collaborating with development teams as needed
Support multiple testing phases including system, integration, and regression testing in fast-paced environments
Requirements for the Functional & Automation Tester:
4+ years of experience as a Software Tester or in a similar role, preferably in the US State government sector
Familiarity with Agile, hybrid Agile, and waterfall development frameworks
Working knowledge of test management software such as JIRA or JAMA
Ability to create detailed test scripts based on design documents and user stories
Experience with API testing using Postman and writing SQL queries for database validations
