IDR is seeking a RF Analyst to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Annapolis Junction, MD. This role is centered around supporting RF spectrum analysis and cyber operations in a high-security environment. The position involves leveraging technical expertise to assess RF vulnerabilities and contribute to mission-critical activities within a defense or cybersecurity context.
Position Overview for the RF Analyst:
- Support RF spectrum analysis and cyber operations by analyzing wireless communication protocols and RF vulnerabilities.
- Conduct assessments to identify and classify RF signals based on modulation schemes, protocols, and characteristics.
- Perform vulnerability assessments of RF-enabled devices and systems.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity and engineering teams to develop and implement RF countermeasures.
- Work onsite in a secure environment, engaging in critical mission support activities requiring a TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
Requirements for the RF Analyst:
- 7+ years of experience in a technical analysis or engineering role related to RF.
- Extensive experience identifying and classifying RF signals based on modulation schemes, protocols, and other characteristics.
- Familiarity conducting vulnerability assessments of RF-enabled devices and systems.
- Experience working with the U.S. Navy or U.S. Cyber Command (preferred).
- Knowledge of RF countermeasures such as RF decoys or active jamming technologies (preferred).
