Job Title:
Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant
Schedule: Monday – Friday (8x5 or 4x10’s available)
No weekends or On-Call | Overtime optional on weekends or after hours

Position Summary:
The Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (LPTA) supports the delivery of medically prescribed physical therapy under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. This role focuses on restoring function, preventing disability, and helping patients achieve optimal performance while adapting to physical limitations. The LPTA promotes a culture of safety and excellence by adhering to all regulatory and accreditation requirements, including those of the Joint Commission and national patient safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide patient care consistent with the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.

Respect patient rights and involve them in treatment planning and decision-making.

Implement individualized therapy programs to achieve measurable goals, monitor patient responses, and modify treatment plans as needed.

Collaborate with the healthcare team to communicate patient progress and any additional needs or treatment modifications.

Educate patients, families, caregivers, and clinical staff on therapy techniques and strategies to support rehabilitation.

Contribute to departmental initiatives to improve patient satisfaction and enhance process efficiency.

Support compliance with The Joint Commission standards across departmental and organizational levels.

Effectively manage time and prioritize tasks to ensure high-quality, timely patient care.
Qualifications:

Education: Associate of Science in Physical Therapist Assistant

Licensure: Active licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the State of Georgia

Experience: New graduates welcome. Experience in acute care, outpatient rehab, or skilled nursing preferred.

Skills: Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
