IDR is seeking a Project Engineer to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity with extensive travel. This role supports a large data center build-out project and involves extensive hands-on field work to deliver physical infrastructure and connectivity systems. Ideal candidates have deep experience with data center deployments, structured cabling, and networking infrastructure while leading teams and maintaining high-quality documentation.

Position Overview for the Project Engineer:

• Support a major data center build-out through onsite engineering and deployment activities
• Lead field execution, including QA/QC responsibility and customer-facing technical leadership
• Install, turn up, and validate networking and low-voltage infrastructure systems for enterprise/colocation environments
• Contribute engineering documentation and change management to keep project deliverables aligned
• Collaborate across technical and stakeholder teams while working outside of normal business hours

Requirements for the Project Engineer:

• 7+ years supporting data center infrastructure deployments, including enterprise or colocation data centers
• Strong hands-on experience with physical infrastructure deployments, including structured cabling and low-voltage systems
• Structured cabling expertise including Cat6A and fiber types (OM3/OM4/OS2)
• Networking infrastructure knowledge including spine-leaf architectures and switch installation/turn-up activities
• Field leadership experience managing technicians and subcontractors, with QA/QC responsibility and customer-facing technical leadership
