IDR is seeking a Senior Power BI Developer to join one of our top healthcare clients for a remote opportunity. This role involves leading the migration of dashboards from Tableau to Power BI within a healthcare setting, while enhancing the internal analytics team's skills through structured training and mentorship. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex data projects that impact healthcare outcomes and operational efficiencies.
Position Overview for the Senior Power BI Developer:
Lead end-to-end migration of Tableau dashboards to Power BI, ensuring business logic and visual fidelity are preserved.
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop healthcare KPIs such as patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and financial metrics.
Design and implement row-level security and data access controls for sensitive healthcare datasets.
Develop and deliver Power BI training programs tailored to various skill levels within the analytics team.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones, documentation, and best practices are maintained throughout the migration.
Requirements for the Senior Power BI Developer:
10+ years of experience in Microsoft Power BI Desktop and the Power BI Service (cloud).
Advanced DAX skills including time intelligence, CALCULATE, FILTER, iterators (SUMX, AVERAGEX), variables, and virtual tables.
10+ years of experience in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server/Online experience, including Tableau LOD expressions and their Power BI DAX equivalents.
5+ years of experience working with healthcare data, including clinical, operational, financial, and population health datasets.
Demonstrable experience building and maintaining healthcare KPI dashboards for clinical or executive audiences.
