Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Senior Database Engineer: - Utilize Shell and Python scripting, Terraform, and Ansible for automation - Deploy and manage PostgreSQL databases on cloud platforms like AWS - Implement infrastructure as code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools for seamless PostgreSQL deployment and management - Independently research, design, document, and implement new database services - Work in a complex enterprise environment to determine the best solutions for business and customer needs Required Skills for Senior Database Engineer: - Proven experience in database engineering, preferably in a large volume enterprise system - Proficiency in Shell and Python scripting, Terraform, and Ansible - Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools - Knowledge of database design principles, query optimization, index management, integrity checks, statistics, and isolation levels - Top Secret clearance - Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience as a database engineer or 14+ years of experience in lieu of a degree
