Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - 5K Sign On Bonus Department: Operating Room Overview: The client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our dynamic Operating Room team. In this vital role, you will assist in surgical procedures by ensuring a sterile environment, preparing instruments, and supporting the surgical team throughout operations. • Prepare the operating room by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile drapes.
• Assist surgeons and other team members during procedures by passing instruments and supplies.
• Maintain the sterile field and monitor for breaks in aseptic technique.
• Count instruments, sponges, and supplies before and after procedures according to policy.
• Handle specimens properly and ensure accurate labeling.
• Assist with room turnover, cleaning, and prepping for the next case.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Communicate effectively with surgical team members to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
• Uphold all hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.

Qualifications: Education:

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.

Certification:

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Experience:

• Prior experience in an acute care hospital or operating room preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.

• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile technique, and OR protocols.
• Excellent communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm and efficient in high-pressure situations.
• Works well independently and as part of a collaborative surgical team.
