Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Healthcare Assistant:

• Assist nurses with basic and routine bedside care duties in both acute care and outpatient settings. • Transport patients, specimens, medical records, and equipment as needed. • Support nursing staff with patient hygiene, including bathing and turning patients in bed. • Set up hospital equipment such as oxygen tanks and perform light housekeeping tasks. • Work under the supervision of licensed staff to ensure patient comfort and safety.

Required Skills for Healthcare Assistant:

• Knowledge of basic patient care principles, including hygiene and comfort. • Ability to follow oral and written instructions effectively. • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. • Capability to lift and transport patients and heavy items. • Experience working with diverse patient populations is a plus.
