The Senior Data Engineer will lead the design, development, and scaling of core data infrastructure using modern cloud and big data technologies. This individual will play a key role in building and maintaining scalable pipelines, enforcing governance standards, and ensuring the reliability and accessibility of data across the organization. Acting as both a hands-on engineer and a strategic partner, you will collaborate with product, analytics, engineering, and clinical teams to drive high-impact data solutions. Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, with a focus on scalable data architectures
• Strong expertise in GCP (IAM, GCS, Pub/Sub, etc.), Spark, and Databricks
• Hands-on experience with CDC technologies such as Fivetran (or equivalent)
• Proficiency in ETL/ELT tools and frameworks (dbt, Apache Airflow, Dataform, etc.)
• Deep understanding of data governance, compliance, and security best practices
• Proven ability to deliver data solutions for analytics, experimentation, or compliance across functions
• Skilled in both IC execution and team mentorship/leadership
• Familiarity with streaming data architectures and real-time ingestion frameworks
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for data processing and automation
• Strong problem-solving skills with excellent communication and technical storytelling abilities

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Terraform or IaC for data infrastructure automation
• Background in HIPAA or regulated environments with sensitivity to data privacy and compliance
• Familiarity with dbt Semantic Layer and modern data modeling best practices
• Exposure to data observability platforms and practices
• Familiarity with machine learning pipelines
• Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments
• Proven track record of building scalable solutions in a 0-1 environment
