IT Governance and Disaster Recovery Analyst

IDR is seeking a IT Governance and Disaster Recovery Analyst to join one of our industry-leading clients. This role is critical in supporting and advancing IT governance, risk management, and disaster recovery efforts across a wide array of cross-functional teams.

You’ll work directly with product owners, solutions architects, and engineers to implement process frameworks, execute realistic disaster recovery exercises, and drive compliance with governance standards. Responsibilities:
  • Support and promote IT Governance and Risk Management frameworks and activities.

  • Collaborate with teams to develop, maintain, and test disaster recovery (DR) plans across SaaS and on-prem environments.

  • Lead tabletop exercises that simulate real-world disaster scenarios.

  • Analyze existing processes and implement improvements to increase efficiency and clarity.

  • Own and maintain high-quality documentation across multiple programs and platforms (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint).

  • Support internal audits and drive timely resolution of findings.

  • Coordinate multiple ongoing projects and initiatives with varied stakeholders and timelines.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Experience in IT Governance, Risk Management, or Disaster Recovery planning.

  • Strong documentation and process analysis skills using tools like Confluence or SharePoint.

  • Familiarity with COBIT or similar governance frameworks.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical teams.

  • Ability to manage complex initiatives, meet deadlines, and resolve ambiguity independently.

  • Project management capabilities and attention to detail.

  • Preferred: 3+ years of experience in a Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery role.

  • Preferred: Experience with Riskonnect (formerly Castellan).
