IDR is seeking a Database Administrator II to join one of our top clients. This is a remote opportunity for candidates local to Texas. If you are a seasoned professional with a strong background in database management systems and data migration, particularly in healthcare EHR systems like Netsmart myAvatar, we invite you to apply. Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Database Administrator II:

 
  • Develop and implement comprehensive migration strategies from Netsmart's myAvatar EHR to a new SaaS model EHR, including data assessment, cleansing, and mapping.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant standards, including clinical data management and security.

  • Conduct rigorous testing of the migration process, including creating and executing Unit test scripts, managing test scenarios, analyzing test results, and debugging issues.

  • Provide regular updates on the migration progress to all project stakeholders.

  • Facilitate the smooth transition to the new system by providing strategic oversight and support post-migration.

Required Skills for Database Administrator II:

 
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in database management systems and data migration, particularly in healthcare EHR systems like Netsmart myAvatar.

  • Proficiency in utilizing Informix, Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server SQL and database scripting to facilitate effective data migration processes.

  • Strong business analysis skills, including reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating user requirements, operational procedures, and identifying solutions to automate processes or enhance system functionality.

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, essential for producing clear project documentation and engaging effectively with stakeholders.

  • In-depth knowledge of current IT industry trends and market insights, applying them strategically within the organization.
