Senior Software Engineer

Ongoing contract (Client maintains right to hire after 3 months though rarely exercises this right)
Location: Chicago, IL
C2C Pay Rate: $62/HR

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and deploy high-impact software solutions, focusing on complex system (re)design and documentation.
Analyze, code, test, and implement scalable, high-quality solutions aligned with business priorities.
Act as a subject matter expert across multiple domains, including programming, security, automation, and testing.
Identify and mitigate risks, proactively resolving technical challenges and escalating issues when necessary.
Participate in strategic technology decisions, influencing long-term technical direction.
Mentor and coach teams in software development best practices, agile methodologies, and emerging technologies.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
6+ years in software engineering or IT-related fields.
Proficiency in multiple programming languages, security protocols, automation tools, and testing frameworks.
Ability to analyze root causes and develop strategic solutions.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to mentor and collaborate across teams.
