IDR is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer to join one of our top clients for an onsite opportunity in Atlanta, Georgia. This role is ideal for professionals experienced in enterprise networking within diverse industries, with an emphasis on retail environments. The position involves designing, supporting, and maintaining complex network infrastructures to ensure reliability and scalability.
Position Overview for the Sr. Network Engineer:
- Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, and connectivity across environments.
- Install, configure, and maintain enterprise-grade networking hardware and systems aligned with industry best practices.
- Support and maintain infrastructure that enables virtualized environments, including networking components supporting VMware.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot infrastructure issues or outages to ensure reliability and uptime.
- Research and evaluate new technologies and network solutions to improve infrastructure performance and scalability.
Requirements for the Sr. Network Engineer:
- 4–7 years of experience designing and supporting enterprise network infrastructure.
- Advanced knowledge of BGP and dynamic routing protocols.
- Experience deploying and supporting Next Generation Firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco Firepower).
- Experience with cloud networking and connectivity (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern networking platforms such as SASE or SD-WAN.
- Experience supporting virtualized environments (VMware) and familiarity with network automation or IaC tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
