IDR is seeking a Infrastructure Manager to join one of our top clients for an onsite opportunity in Atlanta, Georgia. This role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of infrastructure environments within a dynamic organization in the technology sector. The Infrastructure Manager will lead a small team, coordinate projects, and ensure optimal performance and reliability across various infrastructure domains.
Position Overview for the Infrastructure Manager:
- Oversee daily operations of servers, storage, virtualization, cloud platforms, and network infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
- Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions for infrastructure outages.
- Support and optimize hybrid cloud environments including connectivity, performance, and cost management.
- Mentor and manage a small team of network engineers while driving infrastructure initiatives and projects.
Requirements for the Infrastructure Manager:
- Strong hands-on infrastructure engineering background (expected 70–80% technical work).
- Experience with enterprise networking technologies, including BGP, dynamic routing, firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco Firepower), and LAN/WAN environments.
- Experience with cloud platforms and hybrid infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Knowledge of virtualization environments such as VMware and supporting underlying infrastructure.
- Leadership experience managing a small team, mentoring engineers, or leading infrastructure projects.
