IDR is seeking a Technical Manager to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Nashville, Tennessee. In this role, you will lead the technical delivery and serve as the design authority for a modernization initiative that replaces a legacy workflow with a secure, cloud-based web application. You’ll partner with business and technical stakeholders to drive architecture decisions, guide execution, and ensure high-quality delivery in a regulated environment.

Position Overview for the Technical Manager:

• Serve as the technical delivery lead and architecture owner for a cloud modernization program
• Lead solution design across AWS services, backend APIs, frontend UI, and infrastructure as code
• Guide agile delivery activities including sprint planning, technical decision-making, and stakeholder demos
• Oversee integrations including single sign-on, file exchange, notifications, and centralized logging/monitoring
• Support governance, security, and compliance activities including documentation and audit readiness

Requirements for the Technical Manager:

• Proven experience leading end-to-end solution architecture and technical delivery for modern web applications in the cloud (preferably AWS)
• Hands-on familiarity with backend API design (e.g., Python/FastAPI or similar frameworks) and modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React)
• Experience with infrastructure as code and cloud-native deployment patterns (e.g., Terraform, containerized workloads)
• Strong understanding of security architecture concepts (encryption, RBAC, authentication/authorization) and working in compliance-driven environments
• Ability to lead agile teams and communicate effectively with both business stakeholders and technical leadership
