IDR is seeking a Surgical Scheduler to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Fairfax VA. This role is critical to the efficient coordination and scheduling of surgical procedures within a busy healthcare environment. The position involves managing the entire surgical schedule, ensuring all patient and procedural details are accurately captured, and collaborating with clinical teams to optimize OR utilization and patient care.

Position Overview for the Surgical Scheduler:

• Manages the scheduling of all surgical procedures, ensuring timely and accurate coordination.
• Collaborates with surgeons, clinical teams, and support staff to ensure smooth surgical workflows.
• Ensures all procedural and patient information is complete and correctly documented for each case.
• Addresses scheduling conflicts and optimizes OR utilization for efficiency.
• Supports the surgical team in delivering seamless patient care experiences.

Requirements for the Surgical Scheduler:

• Recent Epic experience within the last 3 years.
• Experience with prior authorizations for procedures.
• Strong understanding of procedure scheduling.
• Ability to work independently with limited training and ramp-up time.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with multiple teams.
