IDR is seeking a Logistics Asset Lead to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Colorado City, TX. This role involves managing the end-to-end logistics and asset lifecycle for a hyperscale data center site, ensuring accurate inventory control, vendor coordination, and timely parts delivery. Position Overview for the Logistics Asset Lead:
- Owns the full logistics and asset management lifecycle at a hyperscale data center site, including receiving, shipping, and inventory tracking.
- Maintains asset accuracy through disciplined cycle counts, real-time updates, and data entry in asset management systems.
- Coordinates vendor interactions, manages RMAs, warranty claims, and replacements efficiently.
- Ensures staging areas are organized for deployment, repair, and project needs.
- Reports on inventory performance metrics such as turns, obsolescence, and accuracy, and implements process improvements.
Requirements for the Logistics Asset Lead:
- You've owned logistics and asset management on-site in a data center, warehouse, or high-volume hardware environment.
- You keep inventory accurate to a high bar (99%+) through disciplined cycle counts and real-time tracking.
- You move material fast under operational pressure, so technicians and engineers are never waiting on parts.
- You manage vendors, RMAs, and inbound and outbound logistics end to end.
- You build and report metrics (turns, obsolescence, accuracy) and improve the process from them.
