Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Sr. HIM Specialist:

Provide document imaging services, including prepping, scanning, and quality review. Ensure timely and accurate uploading of records into the Document Management Solution/EMR. Conduct thorough medical record analysis and manage provider deficiencies as per regulations. Prepare and process vital records such as birth and death certificates in compliance with state laws. Perform data integrity tasks, including chart corrections and managing duplicate records.

Required Skills for Sr. HIM Specialist:

At least 1 year of experience in a hospital Health Information Management Department. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and adept keyboard skills. Strong understanding of HIPAA, privacy, and security standards. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships. Familiarity with vital statistics processes, including birth certificate preparation.
