Position Overview/Responsibilities for the IT Service Desk Professional I :
  • Provide over-the-phone IT technical support, including but not limited to, desktop applications, network troubleshooting, and clinical application support
  • Utilize IT tools and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve computer-related issues
  • Ensure maximum customer service and issue ownership, providing status updates and follow-ups to ensure satisfaction
  • Log and document troubleshooting steps taken and solutions applied in line with current knowledgebase practices
  • Participate in on-call support as scheduled during non-business hours

Required Skills for IT Service Desk Professional I :
  • Minimum of a High School diploma / GED & one year certification from college or technical school or at least 1 year of customer service related experience and / or training
  • Knowledge of computer, printer, and network troubleshooting and installation procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose and troubleshoot Microsoft products
  • Superior customer service skills and phone etiquette
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Ability to work evening, weekend, and holiday coverage as needed and scheduled
