Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Process & Controls Automation Engineer : - Design, develop, maintain, and commission automation and control systems for industrial equipment. - Program PLCs, drive systems, and combustion control systems, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components. - Develop SCADA applications, operator interfaces, and custom computer programs for system interfaces. - Assist with troubleshooting and resolve issues related to systems. - Create project manuals, electrical schematics, and scope-of-work documents. - Develop cost estimates and budgets for electrical systems and work on-site for system commissioning. - Transfer knowledge to customers through training and support. Required Skills for Process & Controls Automation Engineer : - Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. - Minimum of 5 years in the chemical or manufacturing industry, with experience in industrial processing equipment, instrumentation, control, PLCs, combustion systems, and system maintenance. - Experience with Allen Bradley or Siemens PLCs and drives. - Proficiency in CAT, AutoCAD, SCADA systems, and FMS applications. - Programming, networking, and database management skills. - Ability to travel internationally (up to 30% of the time). - Strong communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
