• Lead Engineering Team: Provide guidance and leadership to improve the efficiency of product design, development, and new product launches.

• Develop Leadership: Foster technical, managerial, and leadership growth to build the next generation of leadership within SDC.

• Collaboration: Work closely with teams to align product development with market needs.

• Oversee Product Development: Manage the product development process, including resource allocation, prioritization, cost estimation, and product launches.

• Strategic Partnerships: Establish and manage relationships with strategic partners to enhance SDC’s capabilities and jointly develop new offerings.

• Ensure Product Certification: Coordinate with government affairs and regulatory bodies to ensure product compliance and certification (AHRI, EPA, DOE, etc.).

• Budget & Resource Management: Oversee the department’s operating budget, headcount, and work plans to ensure alignment with goals.

• Managerial Development: Improve manager effectiveness through mentorship, training, and performance monitoring.

• Technical Leadership: Empower teams to solve engineering issues, set technical priorities, and guide the department in resolving complex technical challenges.

• External Collaboration: Actively engage with key stakeholders across a variety of departments to keep teams informed and maintain positive working relationships.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required; MBA preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in executive level roles.
• 10+ years of experience in a product design and development role, preferably within the HVAC industry.
• Engineering and product development experience is required.
• Demonstrated track record of leading a diverse team to successful outcomes.
• Success managing P&L responsibilities.
• Excellent presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills.
