Position Overview for the Project Manager:

Project Coordination: Support the development of a cancer center in Oakland by tracking key milestones, timelines, and deliverables for both Sutter and Stanford organizations.

High Visibility Role: Communicate effectively with senior leaders from both organizations, ensuring clear and concise information sharing.

Meeting Facilitation: Organize and facilitate meetings with senior leaders and key stakeholders, providing strong presentation and organizational skills.

Continuous Improvement: Implement best practices in project management to ensure the highest level of confidence in project progress and success.
Required Skills for the Project Manager:

Experience: 8 years of recent relevant experience in project management, particularly in new program development and/or multi-system, complex organizations.

Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, public health administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Skills and Knowledge: Thorough understanding of project management processes including planning, resource allocation, risk management, and financial management. Strong business background to anticipate and identify obstacles, make accurate decisions, and provide actionable recommendations.

Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work well with diverse teams, manage deadlines, handle ambiguity and change, and gain cooperation and support through effective influence and persuasion.
