Job Title: School Social Worker
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to support students’ academic, social, emotional, and behavioral success in a school-based setting. The School Social Worker will collaborate with educators, families, and community resources to help students overcome barriers to learning and promote positive school outcomes.Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counseling to students
Conduct social-emotional and behavioral assessments
Develop and implement intervention plans and behavior supports
Participate in IEP and 504 plan meetings
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and school support staff
Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and community agencies
Address attendance, truancy, and school engagement concerns
Provide crisis intervention and conflict resolution support
Maintain accurate documentation and case notes
Ensure compliance with state and federal education regulations
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW)
Active state social worker license or school social worker certification
Previous school-based experience preferred, but not required
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Work Environment:
School-based setting (elementary, middle, or high school)
