Job Title: School Social Worker

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to support students’ academic, social, emotional, and behavioral success in a school-based setting. The School Social Worker will collaborate with educators, families, and community resources to help students overcome barriers to learning and promote positive school outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to students

• Conduct social-emotional and behavioral assessments

• Develop and implement intervention plans and behavior supports

• Participate in IEP and 504 plan meetings

• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and school support staff

• Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and community agencies

• Address attendance, truancy, and school engagement concerns

• Provide crisis intervention and conflict resolution support

• Maintain accurate documentation and case notes

• Ensure compliance with state and federal education regulations

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW)

• Active state social worker license or school social worker certification

• Previous school-based experience preferred, but not required

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
