Helpmates Staffing is looking for a Sanitation Technician to join our team! This role supports the Quality and Food Safety Department by keeping our dry food processing facility and warehouse clean and sanitary.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

• Clean the dry food facility and warehouse using vacuuming, air, brushing, dusting, and sweeping
• Collect and dispose of trash daily from production areas, warehouse, yard, breakrooms, bathrooms, lockers, and offices
• Use floor scrubber to clean warehouse floors regularly
• Sweep and mop the white line around the warehouse weekly
• Handle recycling—cut down cardboard, operate baler machine, and strap compressed materials
• Keep janitorial supplies stocked and organized
• Report any safety issues right away
• Follow and document tasks from the Master Sanitation Schedule
• May occasionally use a scissor lift (with fall protection) or powered equipment like pallet jacks or forklifts (less than 10% of the time)
• Follow all food safety and health guidelines
• Use and store cleaning chemicals safely
• Be proactive and help with other tasks as needed

• High School Diploma or GED
• Lift up to 50 lbs
• Able to fill out simple records
• Can operate floor scrubber/sweeper
• Works well with a team
• Reliable attendance and open to occasional weekday/weekend overtime
• Can read, write, and speak basic English
• Willing to complete safety training to use equipment like scissor lifts, forklifts, and pallet jacks

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with industrial cleaning and sanitation
• Previous training or certification on powered industrial equipment
