Helpmates is looking for a Product Development Technologist in the city of Santa Fe Springs. This role supports the creation of new food products, improves existing ones, and helps enhance production processes. It also ensures all products meet regulatory and third-party certification requirements.

• Performing routine tests (pH, brix, water activity, texture) and recording results
• Helping develop new, innovative products that meet company, customer, and regulatory requirements
• Preparing and mixing product samples as directed by the R&D team
• Tracking and documenting all formula changes
• Assisting with taste and texture evaluations of lab samples and production batches
• Working with the R&D Director and Product Development Manager to keep projects on schedule
• Supporting the transition of new products into production and providing feedback
• Promoting teamwork and collaboration to meet company goals
• Using the Genesis program to create Nutrition and Supplement Facts panels
• Managing lab samples and keeping supplies organized
• Recommending ingredients that improve flavor and nutrition in supplement products
• Conducting shelf-life testing

• Bachelor Degree in Food Science, Chemistry or related fields. (preferred)
• 2+ years related work experience or equivalent education.
• Computer literacy required with proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel and Word.
• Excellent verbal, communication, and written skills, Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.
