Helpmates is seeking an experienced CNC Viper Programmer to set up, operate, and maintain Viper CNC machines to produce precision parts. The role involves reading technical drawings, ensuring product quality, and following safety standards.

 

Schedule: 6:00 am - 2:30pm

Pay Rate: $30 - $35/hr. Depending on Experience and Knowledge

Job Duties: 

  • Set up, operate, and program Viper CNC machines to produce high-precision parts according to specifications and engineering drawings.
  • Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials.
  • Process a wide range of materials, including metals, plastics, and composites.
  • Load and secure parts into the machine, adjusting machine settings as required.
  • Ensure that machine operations are efficient, productive, and in line with job specifications.
  • 77" x 84" Viper CNC bridge mill with full table vacuum chuck

Machine Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

  • Perform regular maintenance on Viper CNC machines, including calibration, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
  • Resolve machine malfunctions, adjusting settings or making necessary repairs to ensure continuous production.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot CNC controls and other related equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Proven experience as a Viper Machinist or similar CNC machine operator, with in-depth knowledge of Viper machining processes. 5+ Preferred
  • Proficiency in programming and operating Viper CNC machines (knowledge of G-code, M-code, and Viper-specific controls preferred).
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or machining environment is essential.
  • Inspect parts throughout the machining process to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to check dimensions, surface finish, and tolerances.

Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Viper Machinist or similar CNC machine operator, with in-depth knowledge of Viper machining processes. 5+ Preferred
  • Proficiency in programming and operating Viper CNC machines (knowledge of G-code, M-code, and Viper-specific controls preferred).
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or machining environment is essential.

Requirements: 

  • Strong understanding of CNC machining, including tool selection, milling, machine set-up, and operating procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models.
  • Proficient in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and surface plates.

Education:

  • Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent, Trade School is a plus.
  • Certification in CNC machining, Viper operations, or a related field is preferred.
