Helpmates is seeking a detail-oriented Deburring/Tumbling Operator to support a fast-paced machine shop environment. Under the direction of the Machine Shop Supervisor, this individual will be responsible for removing edge burrs and tumbling machined parts according to specifications.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Pay Rate: $18/hr.  Job Duties: 
  • Edge burrs and tumble parts to customer requirements and/or company cosmetic class
  • specifications.
  • Perform simple repetitive bench operations such as deburring, counting, and cleaning of parts.
  • Perform routine deburring duties requiring rudimentary job knowledge, skills or discretion in
  • selecting work methods.
  • Follows priorities based on supervisor direction.
  • Ensures proper handling and stacking of parts.
  • Checks finished processes and ensures accurate count.
  • Keeps deburr and timesaver areas clean and orderly.
  • Notifies supervisor when abrasives inventory is low.
  • Perform complex manual deburring with tight quality tolerances ranging from approximately .001
  • to .005.
  • Sandblast/glass beat to clean rust.
  • Able to manually generate radius requirements at internal cross hole intersections, blind hole
  • slots and cast features using required deburring equipment.
  • Perform majority of deburr operations under a microscope.
  • Visually inspect parts identifying defects.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements: 

  • At least 1 + years as a Deburring/Tumbling Operator
  • Previous experience in manual and precision deburring preferred
  • Ability to read and follow technical instructions and blueprints
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under a microscope
  • Familiarity with manufacturing safety procedures
  • Capable of working independently and in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic math and counting skills
  • Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity
  • Willingness to perform repetitive tasks with consistent accuracy

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent manufacturing experience
