As a Seamstress, your primary responsibility is to create specialized textile items designed for medical use. Your expertise will be crucial in producing high-quality medical cases, straps, wristbands, and other related items. You will be expected to adhere to strict specifications and standards to ensure the functionality, durability, and safety of these medical textiles. Must be willing to follow all PPE.  Pay rate: $16.50/hr.  Schedule: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm  Responsibilities Design and Fabrication: Interpret design specifications and patterns to create medical cases, straps, wristbands, and other required items. Ensure accuracy and precision in cutting, stitching, and assembling materials. Material Selection: Evaluate and select appropriate materials based on their suitability for medical applications, including considerations such as durability, flexibility, and hypoallergenic properties. Quality Assurance:  Conduct thorough quality checks throughout the production process to ensure that all items meet established standards for strength, durability, and sanitation. Address any defects or discrepancies promptly. Customization: Work closely with medical professionals to customize items according to specific patient needs or medical requirements. Modify designs and dimensions as necessary to accommodate individual preferences or medical conditions. Safety Compliance: Adhere to relevant safety regulations and protocols when handling materials and operating sewing equipment. Ensure that all finished products meet applicable safety standards for medical devices. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of materials used, production processes, and quality control measures. Keep accurate inventories of finished goods and raw materials. Collaboration: Collaborate with other members of the medical team, including physicians, nurses, and therapists, to identify emerging needs or opportunities for product improvement. Solicit feedback and suggestions for enhancing the functionality and effectiveness of medical textiles. Qualifications Proven experience as a seamstress or tailor, with a focus on creating textile products for medical or specialized applications. Familiarity with medical terminology and requirements is highly desirable. #HSCE
