Job Title: Human Resources Assistant

As a Human Resources Assistant, you’ll provide administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department, ensuring accurate recordkeeping, smooth onboarding, and responsive employee support. The Human Resources Assistant role is essential to maintaining compliance with California employment laws and supporting day?to?day HR functions including recruiting, benefits, payroll changes, and employee communications.
What You’ll Do:
Post job openings, coordinate interviews, and communicate with candidates
Prepare onboarding materials and coordinate new?hire orientation
Ensure completion of I?9s, E?Verify (if applicable), and onboarding paperwork
Maintain and update employee personnel files in compliance with company policies and legal requirements
Process employee status changes, new hires, and terminations documentation
Assist with audits and compliance reporting as needed
Process payroll?related changes, time?off requests, and employee data updates
Assist with benefits enrollment, changes, and vendor coordination

Coordinate training sessions, performance review cycles, and employee programs
Prepare HR reports and assist with special projects supporting the Finance and Data Engineering Teams
Other duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring:
1-3 years of administrative experience as an HR assistant
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel skills, including logic and lookup functions.
Experience with HRIS or payroll systems (ADP, Paylocity, UKG, Workday, etc.)
Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
Professional etiquette, excellent organizational skills, and the desire for career growth within the company.
A proactive, focused attitude — relaxed or casual personalities may not be suitable for this environment.
