Pay: $23.13 - $26.00 per hour Hours: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Start Date: ASAP Duration: 3+ months

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the manufacturing of chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and related products by monitoring, controlling, and maintaining machinery and systems.

As a Chemical Process Operator, you'll collaborate closely with supervisors and team members to ensure that operations run smoothly and efficiently.

What You’ll Do: As a Chemical Process Operator, you will be responsible for:

  • Weighing, measuring, preparing, and mixing materials to create stock solutions/products according to work instructions and batch procedures.
  • Calculating required material quantities and adjusting ratios as necessary during production processes.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area, identifying and reporting any safety concerns promptly.
  • Operating forklifts and utilizing air respirators (full-face supplied air and cartridge style) while handling and disposing of hazardous materials.
  • Collecting samples and performing in-process testing (e.g., pH, conductivity) to resolve issues that arise.
  • Ensuring proper handling of chemical raw materials and the safe disposal of hazardous waste.
  • Maintaining accurate production records and labeling all prepared solutions and buffers.
  • Conducting SAP transactions, including goods issue/receipt, labor tracking, inventory transfers, and lookups.
  • Communicating inventory, planning, quality, or process issues to supervisors and suggesting updates to work instructions and process improvements.
  • Performing basic troubleshooting and minor repairs on equipment, escalating to maintenance when necessary.
  • Decontaminating, preparing, and isolating equipment for cleaning and maintenance tasks.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring: The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • A high school diploma or GED (Proof required).
  • An associate’s degree in a chemical/biological field or a Chemical/Biological Processing certification (preferred).
  • 1-3 years of production experience.
  • Experience operating stand-up reach forklifts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly SAP, is a plus.
  • Strong math skills with the ability to convert units of measure and calculate ratios.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Basic analytical skills to resolve straightforward issues practically and effectively.
