Seeking an experienced CMM Programmer with a strong background in aerospace or manufacturing! Schedule: 1:30 pm - 10:00 pm
Pay Rate: $30.00 - $52.00 /HR.
Location: Buena Park, CA
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program and optimize CMM programs using PC-DMIS.
Perform and oversee FAI, DIP, FPI, in-process, and final inspections for aluminum die-cast parts, tools, and fixtures.
Interpret complex GD&T and engineering drawings to ensure dimensional accuracy.
Support Engineering and Quality with capability studies (CPK/PPK), design validation, and root-cause analysis.
Train and mentor junior CMM operators; establish best practices.
Maintain inspection reports, work instructions, and calibration records.
Evaluate new metrology technologies to improve inspection capability.
Serve as CMM subject matter expert for internal reviews, PPAP, and customer audits.
Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
5+ years CMM programming/inspection experience (die-casting or metal manufacturing preferred).
Advanced PC-DMIS proficiency.
High School Diploma/GED required; technical degree or certification preferred.
Expert understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading.
Experience with SPC, MSA, and corrective action processes.
Knowledge of AS9100D/ISO 9001 quality systems.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with Hexagon or Mitutoyo CMMs.
Background leading metrology or inspection teams.
Knowledge of casting defects, machining tolerances, and aluminum alloys.
Six Sigma/Lean certification a plus.
Must be willing to undergo a background check
Must be ITAR-compliant

As such, the candidate must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. lawful permanent resident (green card holder) to comply with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
