Job Title: Shipping Clerk

Pay: $17.50 - $20.00 per hour Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Start Date: ASAP

As a Shipping Clerk, you'll play a vital role in ensuring goods are shipped safely, efficiently, and on time. You'll work closely with the warehouse and logistics team to deliver results that make a difference.

What You'll Do

As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for

• Determining the best shipping method based on route, rates, and procedures
• Picking up and delivering freight in a timely manner
• Conducting routine vehicle inspections, including checking oil, brakes, water, lights, and tires
• Loading, handling, and transporting materials and heavy cargo safely
• Operating forklifts and pallet jacks to move items within the warehouse
• Securing cargo using ratchet straps, chains, and binders
• Affixing shipping labels and preparing containers with fillers and padding
• Planning and monitoring shipments to ensure on-time delivery and documentation accuracy
• Verifying shipment details against bills and invoices, recording shortages or damages, and addressing issues as needed
• Maintaining detailed records of shipment data and documenting any discrepancies

What You'll Bring

The ideal candidate for this role will have

• A high school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required)
• Valid driver’s license and experience operating forklifts or pallet jacks
• Knowledge of shipping procedures, safety protocols, and vehicle maintenance
• Ability to lift and handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Location & Schedule
