Job Title: Freight Forwarding Accounting Manager

Pay: $80,000 – $86,000 per year Hours: Full-time, Mon - Fri 8 am - 5 pm  Start Date: ASAP

As an Accounting Manager, you'll lead key accounting functions, support audits, and contribute to the company’s financial planning. You’ll work closely with leadership to ensure smooth financial operations and provide insights that drive the business forward.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage the month-end close process, including preparing general ledger journal entries and ensuring timely, accurate financial reporting.
• Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Analyze financial statements, explain variances, and recommend necessary reclassifications.
• Oversee fixed asset accounting, including tracking, reconciliation, and reporting responsibilities.
• Manage and review monthly depreciation calculations for both accounting books and tax filings.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and IFRS standards for accurate financial reporting, supporting group audits.
• Work with external auditors during audit cycles, providing complete and accurate documentation.
• Maintain adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.
• Offer financial insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership for short- and long-term planning.

What You’ll Bring:

• Fluency in Chinese is required to serve our diverse client base and team.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
• CPA certification (required).
• More than 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Experience with accounts receivable and/or accounts payable processes.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP; IFRS experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite; experience with financial systems is essential.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills with high attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred:

• Experience with CargoWise (preferred but not required).
• Background in logistics or supply chain industries (preferred).
