Job Title: Portfolio Accounting Analyst

Pay: $33.33 per hour Hours: 8:30 am - 5:30 pm, Monday-Friday Start Date: ASAP

As a Portfolio Accounting Analyst, you’ll play a vital role in managing asset data, ensuring accuracy of financial reports, and supporting investment operations. You’ll collaborate closely with the Operations team to deliver precise account reconciliations and timely processing of transactions, contributing to overall operational excellence.

What You’ll Do:

As a Portfolio Accounting Analyst, you will be responsible for:

• Setting up and maintaining asset profiles within trust accounting and reporting systems to ensure data integrity.
• Managing and updating trust reporting databases, including reconciling with other database applications to ensure accuracy.
• Performing daily cash receipting, wiring, and investment transactions, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Journalizing and reconciling daily cash flows and investment activities to maintain precise financial records.
• Communicating with the Operations team to manage bond and loan settlements efficiently.
• Reviewing and reconciling overdrawn accounts, promptly addressing discrepancies.
• Responding to bondholder inquiries with professionalism and clarity.
• Inputting data accurately into financial systems, supporting overall reporting and compliance.

What You’ll Bring:

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Knowledge of general accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Familiarity with structured credit products and investment operations.
• Proficiency in all MS Office applications, with advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, modeling).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, with 3 days/week on-site in Santa Ana.
• Flexibility for overtime as workload increases.

Location & Schedule:

This position is hybrid in Santa Ana, CA, with on-site work scheduled three days a week. Standard hours are from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. There may be opportunities for overtime based on business needs.
