Job Title: Data Entry Specialist – Manufacturing Industry

Location: Buena Park, CA

Start Date: ASAP Shift Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (8-hour shift) Pay Rate: $21.00 – $25.00/hr (based on experience & Knowledge) Length: Temp-Hire Overview:

We are seeking a Data Entry Specialist to support our operations in the manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will possess strong data entry skills, a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, and exceptional customer service abilities, talking with customer and using our client portals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Entry & Order Processing:

    Accurately input and update purchase orders (POs), sales orders, and inventory data into our enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
  • Customer Interaction:

    Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries via phone and email. Provide timely and professional responses to questions regarding order status, product availability, and delivery timelines.
  • Documentation & Reporting:

    Maintain organized records of customer interactions and transactions. Generate and distribute daily reports on order status and inventory levels.
  • Collaboration:

    Work closely with the sales, production, and logistics teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
  • Problem Resolution:

    Identify and address any discrepancies or issues in orders, working proactively to resolve them in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
  • Experience:

    Minimum of 3 years in data entry or customer service roles, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting. Experience with ERP systems is a MUST.
  • Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Strong typing and data entry skills with attention to detail

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

  • Education:

    High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in office administration or customer service are advantageous. Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience in sales or order management within the manufacturing industry.

    • Familiarity with customer portals and online order systems.

    • Knowledge of manufacturing terminology and processes.
