Immediate Opening for QC Inspector in the Santa Fe Springs Area

Job Title: QC Inspector

Pay Rate: $25 - $30 per hour. Depending on experience, qualifications, & industry knowledge

Schedule: Full-time. first & second shift opportunities 

The Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all inspections of the products are performed and accepted to customer requirements and company standards.

Job Duties: 

  • Follow quality processes and procedures to perform detailed inspection in receiving, in-process

  • Final inspection to ensure products conform to customer requirements, rejecting and returning unacceptable materials

  • Complete required documentation

  • Perform AS9102 first article inspection and other extensive inspections per specifications

  • Develop and review inspection plans

  • Ensure quality standards are met for all components and assemblies for final acceptance

  • Maintain parts history folders, inspection reports and prints/drawings

  • Calibrate and document hand tools and other inspection equipment

  • Perform hardness and electrical conductivity testing

  • Carries out day-to-day work following the departments continuous improvement plan

  • Promote safety by working in a safe manner at all times

  • May perform other inspections or tests such as Proof test, Pressure test, CMM etc.

  • Establish and maintain good standards of communication and relations with other departments, such as Engineering, Purchasing, Production, Receiving, etc.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management such as identification of produc

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Final Inspector and/or Receiving Inspector in a Manufacturing or Aerospace environment

  • Effectively work with mechanical and electronic inspection tools and devices

  • Working knowledge of Geometric and Dimensional Tolerances (GD&T)

  • Working knowledge of mylars, optical comparator, thickness gage and profilometer

  • Knowledge of aerospace specifications, quality codes and standard

  • Knowledge of Six Sigma preferred

  • Able to read blueprints and schematics

  • Must be accurate and detailed with minimum errors

  • Able to work within specific time schedules/deadlines

  • Basic computer skills

  • Work within a team environment

  • Respond with sensitivity to people of diverse perspectives

  • Dependability, excellent attendance, ability to work overtime and other shifts

Minimum Education:

  • High school graduate or GED required

  • Associate degree or equivalent training in a related field preferred

Certifications/Licenses:

  • Certification in Mechanical Inspection

  • Certification in CMM Inspection

  • Certification in Hardness and EC testing preferred
