Helpmates is looking for a Cost Analyst to assist management with cost analysis for decision-making. The role involves comparing actual vs. standard costs and reporting on inventory, production, and other costs.

Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM 

Salary: $75,000 - $85,000/year Employment Type: Direct Hire

Duties/Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze ERP production and financial data.
• Determine standard costs and investigate variances.
• Prepare periodic and ad-hoc reports.
• Support management in cost-related decisions (e.g., pricing, investments).
• Establish and monitor manufacturing standards for productivity and efficiency.
• Report variances between manufacturing standards and actual performance.
• Evaluate cost impacts of process or method changes.
• Estimate costs for existing and new products.
• Forecast and analyze labor, inventory, and process costs.
• Recommend cost-saving and profitability improvements.
• Update product cost estimates based on changes in materials or processes.
• Assist in the annual budgeting process with cost and efficiency estimates.
• Propose and justify customer price adjustments to maintain profitability.
• Address and maintain email communications.
• Report food safety and quality concerns to appropriate personnel.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in data, operational, and financial analysis.
• Knowledge of accounting processes and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel.
• Solid business acumen with great attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience as a cost analyst, programmer, or similar role is a plus.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
