Lauren Flavin

Hi There! My name is Lauren Flavin, recruiter with Gifted Healthcare. I've been a recruiter with this company for the past year and absolutely love our mission and that we are a company founded by nurses, for nurses. There is nobody better to have in your corner than someone who understands the needs you have and who will advocate for you! I grew up in Chicago, IL and have recently moved with my husband to Cedar Lake, IN. I attended college at Dominican University in Illinois and majored in Business Administration with a concentration in Management. Before coming to Gifted Healthcare, I worked in sales but found it was not my passion- I strive to help as many people as I can and learned I was unable to do that in that industry. If you know me, you know I love my fur - baby, Bubba who will be turning 3 in the summer- he is a perfect blend of sour and sweet!

I also love my role as an Aunt to my nephews and niece! In my free time, I love to be active outside and spend time on the water at my parents lake house! I enjoy a good book and running local races!

Why I love to recruit
I love my role as recruiter because I love to help others and bring joy and happiness in their assignments. My success as a recruiter, has been a direct result of listening to the needs and wants of my nurses - it is important to understand that when finding the perfect fit for them. By doing this, I have built some amazing relationships with my nurses and have truly grown to have a friendship with them. My nurses trust that I will do what I say I will and know that I will advocate for them at all times. My goal is to make sure that each nurse I work with feels confident and comfortable on their assignments at all times making the most amazing memories!! I enjoy coming to work knowing I have helped make a difference in someone's life.

When I have free time, I love to run local races, walk my dog, enjoy a good book and be on the boat!
