I wasn’t actually looking for anything at all when Crislenny first reached out to me. I was about to delete the message as spam, but she was so kind that I couldn’t help but respond. This was July 2024 and I had a full plate. I declined but asked her to keep me posted of any part time opportunities in the area.
I have my own holistic wellness practice specializing in chronic pain, and I was open to part-time travel PT contracts that allowed me to lean into my ortho expertise as well as share my background in chronic pain rehabilitation… but I was very selective. I wasn’t even actively looking, but with God’s grace, the opportunity came to me through Crislenny.
From start to finish, Crislenny was dedicated, devoted and determined (seemingly even more so than me) to find me a placement that met and exceeded all my expectations. Now, 3 months in, I’ve been enjoying patient care with a caseload of Stanford students, while still maintaining my chronic pain program and holistic wellness practice. I am learning so much, giving back, and overall thriving, and to my surprise, they actually want to hire me full-time.
Working with Crislenny was nothing short of a blessing. She prioritized the things that were important to me in a contract: 1:1 visits, high quality care, great team dynamic, part-time offering, value given to my background in chronic pain rehab, etc.
Crislenny was always cheerful, present, intentional, and compassionate — on every single text and phone call. She was consistently communicative: checking on me before the contract, during the paperwork, and even after. She has been there for me even now during the assignment, checking in on me time to time although things are going great. She celebrates the good with me and supports me through the hard stuff. She advocated for me to be able to travel home when my family unexpectedly suffered a loss of a loved one this summer. She quite literally prayed with me during that stressful time and advised me on how to lean on faith and community to cope, as well as to prioritize whatever I needed to do for my family.
She continues to bring a smile to my face just thinking of how much good she’s done for me and for others. And the way she treats me makes me feel like I’m her only client, even though I’m sure she has dozens. Working with her and just learning from her communication style has made me a better therapist.
There’s a quote that says “Attention is one of the highest forms of love.” I’m blown away by the quality of care and attentiveness Crislenny provides to her clients, both in terms of career goals and overall support. She inspires me to treat my patients with the same amount of compassion and attentiveness she showed to me. And in sharing my experience, I hope and pray for her continued success, the way she selflessly does for her clients.
